Warm glass art update

I've been really busy this week, putting up the auction items for my show, NEIBITS, as well as doing the website for my new OF Plastic sales as a Stone Dealer Exclusive vendor. But I'm going to take a few minutes and discuss one of my new passions, warm glass.
When I started using my new kiln this year, there was an instruction book for making fused glass jewelry. I tossed it to aside and forgot about it until May, when I found it again and decided it might be fun to try.
Since that day in May I have made many fused glass pieces as well as four warm glass bowls and cookie plates. I have discovered how much fun it is to work with glass again (I used to make stained glass windows in the 80's).
One of my first larger pieces was inspired by H-R. The colored ground glass was fused onto a round piece of glass and then reheated to a lower temperature to allow the glass to slump into a bowl mold. I then added gold leaf detailing to the rim.
I also purchased glass paints and have done several southwestern style pieces using them. I plan on making more jewelry for a Fall Festival in Ennis TX in October.
