We Are The Champions (of the PETCO Hamster Ball Derby anyway!)

For a middle school (5th and 6th grade) we got two gerbils and trained them to race in exercise balls. We then made posters and tee-shirts for our "team" and raced them at the 2010 PETCO Hamster Ball Derby at the Rockwall, TX PETCO. It was a blast for me and the students LOL. We had a Starbucks theme going with their names: Mocha and Latte. Go Fulton Gerbil Athletics!
