Last summer RESS held a quick cold painted finishwork contest using the AR Ress Medallion: http://www.ress.org/content/events_2008summerfunresults.aspx
This summer we are happy to announce a glazed finishwork contest using the bisque version of the RESS Medallion.
I will be posting the prospectus/rules this week on the RESS.org website but just wanted to get folks thinking about this wonderful contest!
Please note that to participate in this contest you must fire the bisques, i.e. no cold painted entries will be accepted. Underglazing, mixed glazing, and overglazing/china painting is fine, so long as it is a fired finish.
The bisque to be finished will be the RESS Medallion sculpted by Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig, which is about 2 x 3 inches and features two horseheads. The finishing artist must do all the finishwork themselves, including the firing.
We are limited to 20 bisques total for the contest so entries will first open to RESS members (2 per entrant maximum) and then will open to the general public if there are any bisques left.
