Dreaming of a white Christmas

One week to go until Christmas. I'm off for two weeks and I'm sitting next to the fireplace and the Christmas tree. Christmas is a bittersweet time for me as my parents would have had their wedding anniversary on Dec 13 (it would have been 65 years this year!) and my mother's birthday was Dec 17. I lost them both in 2004, with Mom passing away on Christmas day. So December is a bit sad at times, and there is always that footnote on December 25 for me.

But I had many good years with them and have a wonderful life with my husband and my job. This photo is from the big snow we had at the beginning of the year; my Mom would have loved it!
