Recent fired arts work

My friend, Cindy Rucker, shot some photos of a display of my recent work. Once the 100+F heat wave breaks I'll be focusing on china painting full-body china horses but these are some of my jewelry and tile pieces. I really like the way the Karen Gerhardt porcelain Arabian tiles come out when I china paint them!

The smaller boxes were done with semi-moist underglaze water colors. I really love the way they come out. I just have to learn to use less of them as they do behave like true water colors, only you can fire them. Fired art is always an adventure. You never know what you're get when you open the kiln! It's not for the faint of heart LOL.
