This is the Let Fly filly after I've added several layers of color to her spots and mottling. I have also worked further on her eyes. Many artists leave the eyes until last. For some odd reason, I hate seeing "blank" eyes. The eyes add the "life" to my work so I like to at least have them partially completed so that the piece can "look" at me and "give" me feedback as to what it should look like. It may sound bizarre but I seem to create the best when I work around the face and eyes first.
